My name is Jirona Joseph, I'm 27 and I'm an artist. I studied management but art is my passion. I create, I sing, I play guitar, I draw, I cook, I love technology and I love taking pictures. ArtSequin is my art company, I founded it in April 2018 and it's where I work full time. I make paintings from sequins, I also make designs that I print on other accessories. I realized my first art show in March 2020 with a collection of paintings featuring women. I enjoy volunteering, and have been a member of JCI Haiti and participated in activities with the Pétion-ville rotaract and other non-profit organizations. I'm a graduate of the first cohort of the AWE (Academy for Women Entrepreneurs) program run by the US Embassy in Haiti. One of my dreams is to be able to help the Haitian craft industry and bring solutions to the problems it faces. I want not only to promote my creations, but also to help create opportunities for craftspeople to make a living from their work.
